it seems I can not select .net framework, and it sealed with .net frame 4.0, when I can use compile my xna game on .net 4.5?
by woody2k on May 7, 2014 at 3:39 PM
No, every game is compiled in .NET Framework 4.0.

I installed visual studio express 2013 yesterday. ( version 12.0.30501.00 Update2) But when I try to install XNA 4.0 Refresh (today) there are errors. In the last step (the vsix file), there's an error message: "This extension is not installable on any currently installed products". So, apparently it cannot be installed. Can you provide a fix or update ? Thanks
by bvandenbon on Jul 20, 2014 at 8:53 PM
You need "VS2013 Express for Windows Desktop"

I don't get it, I have VS2012 Express for WP and VS2013 Express for Windows with update 2. But after install 1, 2, 3, I install .vsix file and it keeps telling me that "This extension is not installable on any currently installed products." What's wrong here? What I want is to use VS2013 to create XNA game for WP8.1.

You need VS2013 Express for Windows Desktop instead of VS2013 Express for Windows.
