Is a Visual Studio 2015 version available/in the works?

Love the product, it's made it much easier for me to upgrade Visual Studio versions while still using XNA, but I see there is no support for XNA 2015. Any possibility of getting 2015 version for XNA (I know you're working on a different library, but I'm interested specifically in XNA until that's ready). Thanks!

Hi,

We are waiting for final release of SharpDX 3.0.

After they release SharpDX we will release 5.0 version with support for Visual Studio 2015.

Notice that version 5.0 will support DirectX 12 only on first release. So you will be able make games only on Windows 10 platform.
Support for other platforms will be in future.

I don't understand: The MXA installer for Visual Studio 2010, 2012, and 2013 provides installation of Microsoft XNA which uses DirectX 9 and works on all previous versions of Windows. Does this mean that the installer for 2015 will no longer support Microsoft's XNA?

I second @vchelaru s request

@mklemarczyk Any change we can have a simple update to the XNA GS Visual studio plugin for 2015, so we can open old XNA projects n the latest editor?
Or, the source to the VS Extension so we can tweak it ourselves. (apologies, found the source but it can't be opened in VS2013, just reports lots of unsupported project types, even with MSXNA installed)

I loved the fantastic work that was done to bring our much loved XNA to later VS versions and want to still continue to use it in VS2015

Never mind, fund a SO post which tells you how to "mod" the 2013 VSIX to make it install on 2015 :D

We currently released support 4.0 for Visual Studio 2015.

We will still support all existing XNA projects. In version 5.0 you will upgrade your project to UGX Framework.
Architecture will be the same, but your project will use at least DirectX 11.

Do not be afraid, we want to provide the same user experience. It means you shouldn't notice a change.
We also want to provide you more capabilities to make more complex and beautiful games.

While a new version of XNA will be nice, I don't understand why the project can't be updated to support VS 2015 while getting everything else up to speed. As the stack overflow post above indicates, it is literally a 5 minute fix. I realize that people can do it on their own, but this codeplex project has been referenced in a lot of places so it would be nice to have the fix posted here.

I've actually gone ahead and made the modifications so you can simply add this file to the releases:
